Auburn football loses 4-star offensive line to Florida

Less than a week before signing day, Auburn lost one of its top 2025 recruits on Saturday.

Four-star offensive tackle Tavares Dice transferred from Auburn to Florida on Saturday. Dies was ranked as the No. 159 player in the country by 247Sports and was the highest-ranked offensive lineman in Auburn’s class.

Dies had been at Auburn since March 14th. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive tackle attends Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia.

With Dice no longer in the class, Auburn has four offensive linemen and only one offensive tackle. Broderick Shull, the highest-rated offensive lineman remaining in the class, is a four-star prospect and the No. 201 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Despite losing Dies’ commitment, Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class remains the fifth-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports.
