No. 7 Tennessee trails first by 14 points before routing Vanderbilt 36-23.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Niko Yamaleava threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns, rallying No. 7 Tennessee from a 14-point deficit within the first five minutes to a rout. intrastate rival Vanderbilt 36-23 Saturday.

Tennessee got a break when Max Gilbert’s 50-yard field goal bounced off the crossbar and went wide. Yamaleawa found Thornton again for an 86-yard catch-and-run touchdown, and then he threw an 18-yard pass to Miles Kitselman just before halftime.

Yamaleawa completed the first drive of the third quarter by hitting Mike Matthews with a 14-yard pass for a 31-17 lead. The Vols added safety Tyre West and another Gilbert field goal.
