The driver of the car was detained at the scene

The car appears to have gone up the steps outside a hotel in Liverpool city centre. Footage from the scene shows a silver SUV on the steps outside the Malmaison Hotel on William Jessop Street in Liverpool city centre. It appears that the building did not suffer any significant damage.

Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO that they were called to a report of an incident shortly before 9pm today, November 30. They said the driver of the car was arrested following the incident. There are no casualties reported.
