The 43-year-old singer, who shares 16-year-old Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman and ten-year-old Summer with Matthew Rutler, said she allows her children to borrow items from her wardrobe.

Christina told PEOPLE, “It’s fun to see them wear things differently than I do and reinterpret my fashion choices and make them their own.”

Christina’s children already have a well-developed sense of their own style, and the pop star has always encouraged them to “express their uniqueness.”

She said: “They both have good personal style and know exactly who they are. I have always raised them to express their uniqueness.”

Christina is determined to instill good values ​​in her children.

The “What a Girl Wants” hitmaker explained: “For me, the definition of beauty is being comfortable in your own skin and that’s a message I always try to instill in my children.

“No one else can define what beauty means to you. Creative expression brings me joy, and that comes from different styles and looks.”
